Oddly he came across as a poof in his video, hmm.
"Pronoun mountain" 😂
I love thisss!! Please make more content. I’ve never witnessed someone reciprocate exactly what I needed to hear. 🤍 Much love!
The "deep voice" argument is so bad cause a number of cis hetero woman can have a deep voice and they do look very "normative" too so to me this is very transphobic
This is beautiful; thank you for sharing it. I've been putting off watching this since its release. I have my own conflicted feelings, doubts, and anxieties surrounding voice, and it's honestly scary (and exciting) for me to hear such dramatic change as I think things like, "But I can't do that, can I? Can I?". The changes in my voice have been very much a non-linear process as I've put effort towards it since 2020, but have never been able to apply it to my everyday life. Three years of that aren't exactly my fault (not a situation I was permitted to be out in), but even now that I've since moved away I just... I'm so vulnerable when I use a voice other than the one I created. It's like peeling away a suit of armor I've hidden away in to keep myself safe, but the joints have since rusted and I'm now stuck inside. Who am I if not the person people expect me to be?
I'd really like to see the carnival one.
don’t make me cry again
This was such a beautifully made video. Obviously made with MUCH LOVE. Thank you for reminding me that loving people are out in the world, all over. Edit: and those songs were awfully (in a good way) lovely
for the algorithm!!
This is a beautiful video ❤
oh, wow. i'm a student studying in berlin for the summer and leaving within the next week. i found your channel by chance about maybe a month ago? and it's been so interesting hearing you talk about berlin and being queer/trans there, especially as i am someone who is transmasc, and especially since the city i'm from is in america and doesn't get talked about that much, it's kinda surreal to see all these places and familiar scenery and hearing about all the queer history and culture from someone who's been living in the city for much longer than me. berlin is definitely such a beautiful city and i love hearing what other queer people think about it and have experienced here, especially since i'm not super into the party culture that gets pushed a lot-it's interesting to see what others think of it. there's something just so compelling about the way you use your words and integrate music into your video essays; i love the style. i don't usually write comments and this is kinda rambly, but i thought i wanted to say something after watching your videos while being in berlin. thanks for the video, and happy csd if you're going tomorrow ❤🌈
I am sorry for the hurdles you face.
thank you for bringing us gerald busby's story and his wisdom. i worry sometimes that, because of certain older people, that we're losing the knowledge that elders can give us. it's easy to say screw old people, what do they know, but there are so many out there that can offer wisdom i'm turning 32 this year, and have really only began living my life fully in the last four years. mortality and running out of time is something i worry a lot about, but hearing from gerald is a reminder i can slow down. getting old isn't a curse, it's a gift. i hope i'm able to inspire and guide the younger people i know, so they don't feel as lost and alone as i did when i was their age
Thank you for the kindness. I do see a lot of divides online because of how people interpret their experiences, specifically with some gay people who are less accepting of trans and non-binary people. I think there are certain interpretations of queerness that can influence that viewpoint and I often see people say those differences in perspective are inherently a generational divide when I don't really think they are. There are many older LGBT people in my life who are very dear to me, Gerald being one of them, which is why I wanted to share his story and music in this video.
There's nothing racist about Song Of The South. It was set after the civil war
No they dont lol
l love how you mix your music with the video essay, it really makes your points more emotionally moving
Omg, I didn't know you lived in Germany! But your German is so good and your voice sounds really nice in German! (Saying this as a German)
I'm at a loss for words...
trans groomers have no problem with big age gap.. what a surprise!
this video is about relationships between ADULTS who willingly enter into consenting relationships. what grooming are you seeing or hearing here?
If he's gay, how is he attracted to you as a woman? Was he bi?
He identified as a gay man when we met but through my transition realized that it was much more complicated for him - now he identifies as queer if people ask, but prefers to not label himself
If you're autistic and edgy humour makes you laugh, it's easy to not know where the lines are. The f***tron video is clearly trying to be sarcasm. To me it was clearly a poor attempt of sarcasm.
Yes, now dilate.
Lmao you’re not fooling anyone
🤮🤮🤮🤮
Thinking about the use of the neuter gender in the hospital that you relate. I had a friend who was a cis het American man who married a Lichtensteinerin and they had two daughters. When one of his daughters was getting baptized he took offense with the priest referring to her as “das Mädchen” even though that was proper German grammar. He argued with the priest until the priest said “die Mädchen.” He distanced himself from me after I came out and transitioned.
lmao you're just salty he's successful yet dislikes your kind, how can i put it into words? ah yes, nobody is forced to like you and you cannot be loved by everyone its just natural thing, there's always someone with a different opinion so i dont know, a talented person doesnt have to be perfect and they're humans... there's no perfect human we all have flaws and different beliefs so dont force yours into others and villanize those who dont think the same
4:08 I always go to Pride alone and I always leave Pride alone. I have been to 3 Prides this year. The most communal event ever. And it gets worse. Wait, if you become sick and you cannot get any help.
Hedonistic nihilism is usually the main case why queer culture suffers a great deal. Party, clubbing, fcking. Many pathetic sex-ghouls, specially in Berlin. The male gay community is furthermore very deterministic and superficial: the rule is to be rich, white and sexy. If you're neither, you'll have to try harder or give up, i.e why many stay in the closet because the toxicity scares them. I'm a non-queer person. All I want is to love, care and learn from my crush because he is a great person who I care a great deal for ... he will never love me, but that's fine, because he already made me a better person. I hope people could stop judging me for "acting" straight or being too heteronormative ... I don't hate anyone and just want to live a peaceful and honest life.
Yeesh.
absolutely amazing video
thank you, jake! was recommended your queer escapism vid last week and enjoyed it
@@DreamsoundsVideo o- thank u so much I’m starstruck

Y’all are attention starved af. This shit is grodie. 🤮
Clown world.
You have such a beautiful soul.
Fun Fact When Alan Menken wanted to bring Beauty and the Beast to Broadway Belle played by the amazing Susan Egan she told me that she wanted to do the show so much because of Howard and Alans work on Little Shop she loved the music and the themes so that's what inspired to try out for Belle ofc she nails it. just a little tidbit she told me that The Musical was a driving factor for her to try out to belle then later Megra. She was an honored guest at our Colleges production of Little Shop a couple of years back she saw both versions of the show where we keep the Og ending for the night crowd and the sorta happy ending for the matinees such a fun show. Im co directing a production of Beauty and the Beast for the holiday season and when our belle audntioned she sang Mean Green Mother we sent her out 5 min i think the first thing i said I don't care i want her as belle. gaston beast idc she was so good
You sound like the man you are. 🤡
You're still a man. No man will ever be a woman. We are not costumes or feelings. XY chromosomes, sir.
Believing in lies is what our entire civilisation is build on.. has been like this for thousands of years.
You're still a fn man and always will be. Gross you married your grandpa. 😂🤮
Kinda gives creating a rod for your own back
Like. I feel that once you're an adult or 20 or whatever, you find someone far above the age gap. Go for it. As long as children/ minors aren't involved. All you boo. That's my opinion.
Homie did an video to justify why is ok for her to date a guy who could be her freaking grandad. Go to therapy jesus christ.
him*
In the article you state 'I’ve always been attracted to men over twice my age' so John must be getting pretty worried as you must be hitting 40 soon (based on your pics) so you will soon find him unattractive and be stalking the retirement halls looking for another man whose age you find attractive.
pathetic, seek help
okay avelo get off the internet for a while
Girl, the age gap alone is only little worrying, but your defensiveness is something else. Age does bring an inherent power imbalance; grow up. If you weren't groomed, don't worry. But many in your situation were, and you trying to deny that isn't helpful.
it's a guy
Well now I'm crying
